Creative Art & Printing Workshops Designed to Bring You Joy

There is something powerful about making something with your hands. Hands on experiences activate different areas of your brain and help to shift focus from the never-ending list of jobs you seem to have.

In a world that moves quickly and lives largely on screens, my workshops are designed as a pause. A space to slow down, explore colour, and reconnect with your creativity in a way that feels uplifting rather than intimidating.

Whether you’re completely new to printmaking or ready to deepen your skills, each workshop is built what you want to create. You’ll lean development new skills and witness the thrill of the peel back while achieving beautiful results you’ll feel proud to take home.

Here’s what you can explore.

Lino Printing Workshops

Lino printing is where many people fall in love with printmaking. A lot of people I meet reminisce about how much they loved dabbling in linocut at school and it brings back amazing memories when they try it again.

In my beginner lino workshops, you’ll learn how to design, carve and print your own artwork step by step. We focus on simplifying your ideas so they translate beautifully into bold, striking prints. No complicated drawing skills required — just a willingness to try. After the carve comes the excitement of playing with colour - an incredible time to experiment with different ways to apply and combine inks to create different effects and moods.

You can choose from inspiring landscapes, colourful florals, or pattern on fabric — or request your own theme. These sessions allow us to work at your pace, develop your ideas in more depth and create something truly personal.

They’re perfect if you want focused guidance or are considering developing your skills further.

For those who want to go further, the reduction print workshop builds on the basics. This is where things become beautifully thoughtful. You’ll learn how to plan and carve in stages, working backwards to build layered colour prints from a single block. With every layer that’s printed and carved away, your edition becomes more limited and more special.

It’s a rewarding, slightly addictive process that opens up a whole new level of creative possibility.

Gelli Plate: Layered Nature Printing

If you love colour and experimentation, this workshop is pure play.

Using a Gelli plate, we explore layered printing inspired by nature — leaves, organic shapes and intuitive mark-making. You’ll build depth through vibrant colour combinations and textured layers, allowing each print to evolve naturally.

There’s no pressure for perfection here. It’s about exploration, surprise and discovery. This session is energising and freeing — a creative reset that leaves you with a collection of joyful, one-of-a-kind prints and the desire to keep making more.

Mixed Media Landscapes: Watercolour & Drypoint

Why work in one medium when you can combine two?

This magical workshop blends the fluid softness of watercolour with the precise line detail of drypoint. Inspired by nature, you’ll create imaginative landscapes in colours that uplift you.

It’s particularly perfect for beginners because we use simple tracing techniques for the drypoint element, removing the pressure of “having to be good at drawing.” The flowing washes of watercolour combined with delicate etched lines create artwork that feels layered, expressive and full of atmosphere.

It really does feel like art magic. Complete art novices can walk away with stunning one of a kind pieces to frame and gift.
