Metallic Honey Bees - Limited Edition Linocuts
Inspired by my much loved yellow honey bee print, this Olympic Bee lino print celebrates both British wildlife and a moment in time. When the 2020 Olympics arrived, I was drawn to the symbolism of gold, silver and bronze and began experimenting with metallic inks in the studio. The result was a joyful Olympic Bee collection, reimagining my original honey bee design in shimmering metallic layers.
Each bee is hand printed using a traditional two layer lino printing process, combining bold line work with rich metallic ink to create depth, texture and movement. The metallic finish catches the light beautifully, making this print feel celebratory while still rooted in nature.
