What Turned a Kitchen into A Family Hub for Meals and Entertainment

“Heather’s passion for her work is evident and I’m always delighted with my purchases.”

Nathan & Louisa, repeat clients, Bolam

Nathan and Louise moved into an older property and loved its features but the kitchen didn't work for them and their growing family. They also wanted space to host their family and friends and make the most of their extensive back yard with amazing views. This prompted them to do a full kitchen renovation adding an extension on the back with panoramic windows to bring the outside in. Once the structure was right they still felt it was missing something - the personal touch…

…something original and tactile.

A splash of colour!

That’s where I came in.

Introducing art into the new kitchen space was another opportunity for them to bring the outdoors in and celebrate the beauty of nature. The Pink Hibiscus linocut is what caught their eyes first and they wanted to have something equally vibrant to accompany it. I offered them a choice of pieces that I thought could work and the Yellow Honey Bee (now sold out) was a firm winner for both of them.

They have since added peacock feather prints to their collection as well as an original collage and continue to attend my previews with a view to adding to their collection.
